Fun Monday. Nekkid, baby.
Me! Me! Me!
I got tagged quite awhile ago by the wonderful Sandy at http://myanderings-myanderings.blogspot.com/.
The rules are:
1. The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player then tags people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
What I was doing 10 years ago:
Ah, memories. 10 years ago I had been married to my husband for a little less than a year. I was pregnant with our first child. We lived paycheck to paycheck in the ghetto. I stayed home, preparing our little rent home for a new baby. When I wasn't washing and rewashing all manners of bottles, pacifiers, and sleepers, I was hanging out with my best friend who was also pregnant. Ah, fun times.
Five things on my To Do List today:
Pay the babysitter for watching the kids during my volleyball game, make white chocolate macadamia nut cookies for hubby to take to work with him tomorrow, laundry/ironing, go grocery shopping, and record the Memory Keeper's Daughter.
Snacks I enjoy:
Cheeseball with wheat thins, fritos and hot sauce, caramel popcorn, fresh strawberries and bananas cut up together, sunflower seeds, cheerios snack mix, chex mix, gummi frogs and gummi strawberries, and Edes jerky.
Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
Buy a gorgeous home, buy my parents something huge, and invest.
Three of my bad habits:
Snacking late at night, obsessing over money, and staying up way too late.
Five places I have lived:
Here, a town 2 hours over, a town 5 hours away, with my parents, and in a dorm room.
I'm going to skip tagging anyone because I'm too tired to bother with it. That was fun, tho! :)

Would you like to buy some...?
I hate fundraisers. I realllllllllly hate fundraisers. I don't mind buying from children who are fundraising, but I don't like letting my daughter participate in them. Most of the stuff is junk, and people say yes even when they really don't want to, and I've never been one to coerce people into doing things. Ok, well that last part is a lie, but whatever.
I participate in selling Girl Scout cookies every year. Everyone loves Girl Scout cookies, so it's not like going door to door selling people overpriced crap they don't need. Ok, ok. Ya, Girl Scout cookies are overpriced and probably something most people don't need, but hey...people love em!
My 9 year old is going to two different camps this summer. One is a week long Girl Scout camp called Midnight Madness. Most of the things are done at night during this camp, with the campers sleeping during the day instead of at night. How fun is that? The other camp she is going to attend is church camp in Oklahoma. This camp is a week long experience, too, and one that she got to attend last year. Camps aren't inexpensive, and our church is allowing the children to participate in a fundraiser. I groaned at the thought.
I got the fundraiser information, and much to my excitment found out the kids were going to be selling smoked ribs and smoked briskets! There's a place in the big city near here that smokes them, and half of the money raised goes directly towards camp fees. This is something I think I can handle! The prices aren't outrageous, and it's something people can actually use. Smoked ribs and smoked briskets delivered to your door the day before Mothers Day? Perfect!

Busy, Busy.
I've adopted a busier life, which is why I haven't been to blogger lately. A big thanks to Alison for checking on me...how sweet of you! In addition to working out 3 times a week, I've joined a coed volleyball league through our YMCA. I'm having so much fun with that! Everything is going well~ we have just been spending our days outside enjoying the gorgeous weather! Hope to post more soon. Now, off to catch up on long lost friends' blogs!

March
So it's March already~Wow. I've been MIA. Life isn't so easy with a new puppy around! Why didn't someone warn me? ha ha He's adjusted really well and is keeping us on our toes. Potty and crate training are both going really well, but boy is he playful.
I started working out three times a week at our local YMCA. I have a workout buddy and we're holding each other accountable. It's fun getting out after the kids go to bed with a girlfriend for some laughs, good music, and hot abs. ;) Last night, in fact, we were so proud of ourselves that we sped away from the Y to the local restaurant/bar and had ourselves a tall strawberry daquiri.
Life is good.

Our Newest Addition!
We finally found him...and what a honey he is. The newest member of our family is little teensy tiny 9 week old Ozzy, a miniature schnauzer. He is soooooooo sweet, and my kids are just eating him up! My husband and I found him through a breeder in the area and surprised our kids with him. They had NO idea. It was a great surprise, and you can tell by the genuine smiles on their precious faces that they are completely enthralled with their new baby.
